When I chat with ePN publishers one of the things I hear most often is your desire to be get more information and better access to the people at eBay and our internal resources. One of the best ways I can think of to do that is to consider attending eBay: On Location. While this event traditionally focuses on eBay sellers, I think there is a wealth of knowledge to be gleaned from understanding how the other side of the business functions.
The next eBay: On Location event is happening in sunny Florida at the Hilton Orlando from September 7-8, 2011. If you’re interested in attending I recommend you act fast. First off, these events tend to sell out quickly and second, if you register by August 15th it’ll only cost you $59 (as opposed to the onsite cost of $99.
Several member of the ePN team will be there...will you? If so, let us know by leaving a comment!
From the website:
“Orlando has been called the land of dreams and magic, but it's also a city known for its inspiring and passionate entrepreneurial spirit… a spirit that develops and consistently delivers exciting and innovative ideas and experiences. These are the same qualities we hope to support and encourage among the sellers who attend eBay: On Location. Not only will the educational sessions inform attendees about the latest best practices for selling on eBay, but we also want you to have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with and be inspired by innovative leaders, to develop connections and friendships within the seller community, and to come away feeling motivated to succeed.
At its core, eBay: On Location promises an engaging experience designed to help sellers harness the power of eBay, the world's largest online marketplace… and whether you’re new to eBay or have been selling for years, we want you to be a part of it!”
Looking at the schedule I see several sessions that I think could be of great value to publishers including: Expand Your Business Through Social Media, Marketing Your eBay Business and Best Practices for Building Your Business on eBay. You can get the full schedule listing and description of all eBay: On Location sessions HERE.
If any of you have ever attended an eBay: On Location event before, I’d love to get your take on it. Was it helpful? Did meeting members of the eBay team give you some new insights into our business?
