Last week eBay CEO, John Donahoe, gave the keynote at the CEA Leaders in Technology Dinner as part of CES in Las Vegas. Shortly after, eBay’s Chief Blogger, Richard Brewer-Hay, sat down with John to chat about how the world of shopping and paying in fundamentally changing:
“We’re on the cusp of what is a revolution in retail and we’re really beginning to see how consumers are using technology to change how they shop… both at home and in stores and on the sidewalk.”
Additionally, there are some ambitious forecasts around mobile and payments for 2012. eBay is projecting 2012 global mobile gross merchandise volume (GMV) to surpass $8 billion. PayPal projects that its global mobile total payment volume (TPV) will be $7 billion in 2012. Will this change the way you think about your business? We’d love to get your comments below.
