As previously announced, RSS 1.0 has been deprecated and is no longer supported. We’ve extended the hard deadline for switching to RSS 2.0 to May 31, 2012, after which RSS 1.0 will no longer be in service. All publishers using RSS 1.0 must transition to RSS 2.0 before that time to avoid any interruption in service.
We know that some of you faced difficulties with RSS feeds last month, and we sincerely apologize for the frustrations and challenges that this caused. Please be assured that our number one priority has been to optimize and improve the stability of the RSS 2.0 feed as we continue to transition all publishers over to this new system.
Over the coming weeks, we will be providing additional information and resources to help publishers better implement and optimize RSS 2.0 for their own sites. Please stay tuned here for more information.
We appreciate your cooperation as we do everything in our power to ensure a smooth transition. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.
