This is a no-brainer. Google is the most powerful search engine at the party today. So, it stands to reason that utilizing their public-facing tools like Google+, Google Places and Google Maps could offer a boost to your organic search results.
In addition to the brand management benefits of Google+, utilizing other integrated aspects like Google Docs or the free video capabilities of Hangouts can offer your company an easy and effective way to share information and collaborate remotely with your stakeholders.
What About Social?
Interestingly, the social network aspect of Google+ seems to be the least attractive feature for many users. Maybe it’s because businesses have their resources tied up in actively managing their Twitter and Facebook profiles. Or, maybe they just haven’t been convinced that Google+ matters enough on the social graph. Either way, the two reasons listed above should at least get you thinking about whether or not it makes sense to integrate Google+ into your online toolset.
