Introducing an Enhanced Forum Experience

Community As a result of user feedback across the eBay forums, we’ve made some updates to make our community a more engaging and dynamic place for connections and conversations. Launching this week, you’ll see a number of changes to enhance the functionality and overall feel of the forums. Here are the highlights:

Topics You Follow Similar to your Subscriptions, now you can access topic links from any page across the community, as long as you are logged in. This will help you stay up to date on new conversations around your favorite topics.

People You Follow We have quite a few knowledgeable and active publishers on the ePN board, and now it’s easier to get answers and communicate directly with them. By “friending” a member, you’ll be able to see when they are online to answer your burning question or just to send them a thank you.

Ask a Question, Start a Discussion This text field is now accessible from every page across the community, enabling you to post a question or start a discussion from anywhere, then easily select where you want your topic to be posted. This is helpful if you’re reading one thread but have an unrelated question to ask elsewhere.

Access to Archived Content Keeping content on the Community fresh and current means that we archive on a regular basis. However, you can still look for older content by using the Search feature or by visiting the Archives link at the far right of the navigation bar.

Image Carousels Helping to provide a more visually appealing environment, the images you see across the top of every page can now be expanded or minimized based on your preferences. Simply use the icon in the top right corner to choose the size you desire.

New Navigation You can now more easily head to any area of the community from the main navigation bar, eliminating the need to click through multiple links. Top interest areas across the eBay community are much more accessible with the addition of this new navigation.

Automatic Homepage Refreshing Whenever you log in or refresh the main eBay Community homepage, you’ll find the latest content. Comment, give kudos or hide posts directly from this page. This is also where eBay will also post important messages.

The functionality of the forums will remain the same, with the addition of these enhancements. If you have any questions about these updates, please let us know in the comment section below. We’re eager to hear your thoughts!
